Long, gentle ski touring trail route to the Punta Hofmann in the Val Passiria.

We head for the Tumulo alpine hut (Timmelsalm, 1,979 m) on the access road and, at 2,130 m, we go up through a small canyon of round rocks. We turn right before the gorge to reach a small pass. We go down a few meters to the “Unteres Krumpwasser”, 2,229 m, and then turn left along a plateau leading to a small canyon. We reach a valley at 2,340 m, and continue to the next canyon, 2,450 m. We go up and follow the valley up to the next plateau, 2,640 m. We cross it and reach a wide valley that leads to the Forcella della Croda Nera, 3,059 m. To the right – with or without skis depending on the snow conditions on the ground – we reach the nearby Punta Hofmann with the small cross. Descent via the same route (flat in parts).
