Unspoilt scenery
Long hike through unspoilt scenery, ideal in winter and spring.

Ascent: we go down along the road from behind the house and at the first junction we turn right on the road that goes around the lake as far as the wide ditch on the right. Here we start going up, then take route 17 and continue left along the route that leads to the Val Gioveretto (Zufritt Tal). Here, at 2,185 m above sea level, we cross a bridge on the left and reach an open space. We head east and reach the foot of a steep mountain slope. First we turn left and then right until we reach the next open space. At 2,729 m above sea level, as shown on the map, we turn left to a small pass in the moraine (stone figure). From the right side of Lake Giallo (Gelbsee) we continue among hollows, heading north to reach the wide valley below the Gioveretto glacier (Zufrittferner). We keep to the left below the ice cap, go along the slope, following a bend from right to left, and diagonally as far as a flat pass on the right-hand side (approx. 3,300 m).
