Turn-by-turn directions
To the left of the entrance to the Dolomitenhütte (wonderful hut, really cool places to sleep), we follow the farm track relatively level before gaining more and more altitude on or through sparse forest along the way. Finally, we have covered almost 5 km and 670 metres in altitude. But whoever was looking forward to a stop at the Karlsbader Hütte: The hut is beautifully situated by the lake, but it is closed in winter! So pack provisions and, if necessary, a change of clothes for the descent. By the way, the descent takes place on the farm track and is not difficult.
