In the Stubaier Alps
Long, rewarding cross-country skiing route to the Capro in the Val Passiria.

We head for the Tumulo alpine hut (Timmelsalm, 1,979 m) on the access road and, at 2,130 m, we cross a small canyon of round rocks. We turn right before the gorge to reach a small pass. We go down a few meters to the “Unteres Krumpwasser”, 2,229 m. We reach a plateau on the right side of the valley, going past a ramp which takes us to the “Oberes Krumpwasser”, 2,300 m. We cross this plateau on the left-hand side and go along a slope until we reach a deep valley. We cross it all the way to where, at 2,600 m, a wide slope begins. We enter a wide valley below the Forcella del Capro. We turn right and cross the pass; we follow the north crest and go up a very steep slope to reach the summit cross. Descent via the same route.
