The Pircher family welcomes you to high up in the welcoming Albergo Ristorante Hochmuth, above Tirolo. Guests relax in the Stube, on the terrace or the garden, letting themselves go and tasting homemade typical Alto Adige delicacies prepared by Dora. Hearty, authentic and energy-filled dishes emerge from the Hochmuth Ristorante. Produce from the hut is used, in the traditional style for the preparation of the delicious delicacies. Guests can also choose antipasti, soups, salads, hearty main courses and desserts.

Enjoy an impressive panoramic view, nearly 1,000 metres up over Merano and the large Valle dell’Aldige. The Muthof mountain hut, filled with history, pushes visitors’ curiosity who stop for a rest here. You can also relax at the Albergo Ristorante Hochmuth. The welcoming double rooms are ideal for hikers and nature lovers. Simple but welcoming, they are filled with comfort. Max Pircher and his team guarantee a family atmosphere where you will feel at ease.
One particular experience not to be missed is the Alta Via di Merano trip which takes several days. The start and end can be the Albergo Ristorante Hochmuth and from here you can take the cable-car down into the valley. From sunrise you can get a head start over the other hikers and will be immersed in peace and tranquillity. Many hikes and organised mountain climbs complete the full programme in Tirolo. From here you will be able to witness the splendid scenery in the Valle dell’Adige and of the Alto Adige mountainous region.

You will be spoilt with delicious homemade delicacies. For starters, try soups and pastas, then move on to the famous canerdeli with speck and delicious meat dishes. As a side, we invite you to try our home-grown salads and top off your meal with a delicious dessert. Cheese, butter and Vinschgauer Fladen are all homemade; many of our ingredients are made in the hut which adds an authentic taste to our dishes. Chef Dora takes immense pride in using local produce and refers to many traditional countryside recipes.
