Welcome to the Astner Mountain Inn near Terento in Val Pusteria. Whether on foot, with the baby carriage, by mountain bike or even on horseback, the Astner Mountain Inn is easy to reach for everyone. The idyllically situated alpine hut is a very popular meeting place for a good rest or a nice coffee. Thanks to the innkeepers Leni and Zello you will feel at home and well cared for.
Opening hours: 1 May to 1 November
In the summer guests can enjoy the wonderful views and the fresh air from the terrace. The menu is filled with typical haute cuisine dishes and on Sundays the visitors are spoiled with barbecue chicken and pork knuckle. On the hut you can even rent a private terrace to have a summer barbecue with friends and family.
The landscape around the hut is a natural paradise. Well-signposted hiking trails lead through forests and meadows. The hut can be reached comfortably on foot from Terento or from the Winnebachtal car park, and you can reach the popular alpine pasture via the forest road. A highlight for children are the many animals around the hut and the playground, which will entertain the kids as well.
Near Terento in Val Pusteria, below the Kempspitze, the Astner mountain inn is a meeting place for families!
Typical alpine dishes such as Kaiserschmarrn, Schlutzkrapfen, fried egg & roast potatoes or a juicy goulash with homemade dumplings are served on the mountain farm. Of course guests can also find cold dishes such as Marenden and Speck trays on the menu. Refreshing beverages are always welcome and perfect on hot summer days. There are also delicious homemade cakes and tarts.

On weekends, the atmosphere at the popular mountain hut is always really good! Sometimes there are even concerts, and the guests feel comfortable up here. In case of bad weather there is a warming wood stove in the cozy guest-room and sufficient seats available for everyone.
Children can play in the outdoor playground and get close to the many animals on the pasture – an ideal activity!
