On the Roof of Vorarlberg - Ski Tours in Montafon

In the Montafon, it is above all the alpine ski tours in the Silvretta that are widely known, but the ski tours in the Rätikon and in the Verwall also have an alpine touch and offer the most beautiful views of the Vorarlberg Alps. A great starting point is the Golmerbahn car park, where the ski tours to the Tschaggunser Mittagsspitze and to the Lindauer Hütte start. The latter is also suitable for beginners due to its manageable duration and difficulty. In the south, on the Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse, the route leads up to the highest peaks in Vorarlberg. A popular base for several days on the mountain is the Wiesbadener Hütte, which is on the way to the highest mountain in Vorarlberg, the Piz Buin.

Fantastic ski tours in the Kleinwalsertal valley

An impressive but also demanding ski tour, for which you need a good level of fitness, leads up the Hohen Ifen in Kleinwalsertal. The striking mountain plateau with its 2,229 metres is defended all around by forbidding rock faces and the length of the tour should not be underestimated. However, a tour to this summit is definitely worthwhile, as the view of the Allgäu Alps on one side and as far as Switzerland on the other is simply fantastic. The Ifen cable car can also be used as an ascent aid for this tour. If, on the other hand, you ascend the Göttlespitze through the Derrajoch, you experience a scenic, almost ideal ski tour over almost completely forest-free terrain with great downhill runs.

Infinitely versatile - ski tours in the Bregenzerwald

In the Bregenzerwald, too, you will find a wealth of rewarding ski tours. Depending on your physical condition and technique in ascent and descent, you can find a suitable tour. A good beginner's tour, for example, is on the Koppachstein in the Nagelfluh range, while the ski tour on the Klippern is a little more demanding. If you feel like it, you can of course also visit one of the ski areas and fill up your altitude account with free skiing. A tip for this is Damls, where there are countless downhill runs in the open countryside.

In the snow realm - ski tours on the Arlberg

The region around the Arlberg with the villages of Lech, Zürs and Stuben enjoys a legendary reputation among winter sports enthusiasts, and the region also offers a lot for ski tourers. Many of the well-known peaks such as Albona and Valluga can also be climbed under one's own steam, although the best physical condition and technique are required here. A hot tip is the ski tour on the Mehlsack, a popular destination for heliski operators. But you will also find a tour off the steep gullies, such as the beginner-friendly ski tour to the Kriegerhorn. Many more ski tours in the Arlberg region, which is one of the snowiest in the Alps, are waiting for you in the tour portal.
