Ascent: via the access road we reach the Schliniger Alm first, then the terminal at the foot of the cable car, continuing as far as the Schwarzwand. From here we go to the right over a rocky wall, then left (metallic poles with fixed ropes) towards the plateau below the Rifugio Sesvenna (warning: dangerous trail!). We continue towards the rifugio (approx. two hours in total from the starting point). From the rifugio we go parallel to the cable car and reach the foot of a steep slope. Keeping to the right we go up as far as a small ridge, then slightly to the left around a steep slope which gradually becomes gentler. We continue in a straight line as far as a large rocky formation. We can either go up through a short narrow passage or along the ridge on the right. We are now in the upper valley. Initially we stay on the right-hand side, then move to the left-hand side and reach the Sesvenna Pass (Furkel, 2,824 m). From here, staying slightly on the left-hand side, we go down for about eighty metres to the plateau below the Sesvenna Glacier. Avoiding the cliff of the glacier on the right-hand side, we go along the flat glacier towards the ridge to the left of Piz Sesvenna. If the snow conditions are safe, we go right up the steep mountain side until we arrive at the beginning of a ridge (ski depot). We head right towards the mountain peak (also ski depot) and reach the peak along the longest ridge, keeping to the south side initially.
Descent: from the rifugio via the same route.
