Directions
Ascent: You follow the summer-path no. 347 to reach the peak of the mountain Grugola that also leads into the valley Pisorno. After leaving the path you cross a canyon and pass a steeper elevation. Then you continue onwards in the direction of Implude, north-west. In the vicinity of the small lake Pisorno you will find yourself on a ridge to its left and reach a junction to the mountain Arzon (2270 m). An optional, ski-less path brings you to the precursor along the north-western ridge.
Descent: On the ridge you continue until you reach a notch, allowing the access to the northern slope (2264 m) and then along the beautiful canyon (narrow and steep in its second part). Continue until you reach the Valsorda impulde and a forest road on the right side, approx. 1630 m above sea level. Here you put the skin on your skis back on and start to climb up, north-east. You will reach the alp Malga d’Arzon (1846 m) and then continue on the basin until you reach the junction to the Scanaiol, descending on the opposite side. At the border of the vegetation (approx. 1860 m) you turn right and descent on the ridge. After having reached the alp Malga Scanaiol, you take the summer path to go south-east, reaching the lake Calaita (be aware: obligatory path that goes across some rocky parts). After a slight rise you follow the forest road to reach the Hotel Miralago (1.5 km).
