Climb: there’s a signpost to the left of the hotel indicating “Zum Gletscher” (to the glacier). Through a gate we head for the road which crosses a small bridge leading to the moraine with the pole (2,260 m). We cross it diagonally to the left until we reach a canyon. We go up to where the route becomes less steep leading to just below the peak. We enter a wide and shallow glacial cirque (2,860 m).
We head for the north side of Cima Tuckett (keep an eye out for crevasses between 3,200 m and 3,300 m!). Keeping to the right we go past crevasses and climb to the upper part of the north ridge. The last section leading to the summit is steep (if necessary, leave your skis before attempting this climb).
Descent: via the same route.
From the glacial cirque you can easily climb up to the Punta degli Spiriti (Geisterspitze, 3,467 m; keep an eye out for crevasses!); or, from the upper glacial cirque, head left to reach the Madaccio di Dentro (Hintere Madatschpitze, 3,428 m; crampons and ice axe are a must!).
