Directions
Ascent: we follow the road towards the houses briefly, on the left-hand side of the stream as far as the beginning of the country road, from where we enter the valley along a meadow leading to the Kirchbergtal. We follow the country road until the valley becomes steeper going up two hairpin bends to the left. About 200 m after the second hairpin bend there’s a signpost (“Walscher Berg/Cima Trenta/ Alplaner Alpe”). We now go left up a steep slope through a wood to a point where the terrain is less steep. Keeping to the left of the gravel bed of the stream, we go right up a steep slope, which takes us to a beautiful wide valley. We go past the Innere Alplaner Alm (2,245 m) leaving the alpine hut behind on the right-hand side and we continue left heading south towards a pass. Just before the pass we turn left and continue along gentle slopes to enter a small but deep gorge. Now we go up a steep slope and continue diagonally right, going past a ridge, to reach the summit on the left.
Descent: via the same route.
