We follow the road to just below the Lazins alpine hut (approx. 4 km) and enter the Lazins Valley from the right. Keeping to the right-hand side of the stream at first, we move to the left-hand side after the signpost (normally blocks of ice). We continue along the valley as far as the Bockhütt alpine hut, 1,980 m, and then move to the other side of the stream. We continue up a steep slope diagonally left, heading to the top of a rock, in front of a deep ditch. We go up a ridge on the right and reach 2,350 m, where the terrain becomes less steep. We continue ahead, and after a series of ups and downs, we reach a stone figure. Here we go up the slope heading for the Cima Bianca Grande, as far as a wide calcareous boulder. From the left-hand side of the boulder we continue the long ascent to the foot of the north-eastern slope of the Cima Fiammante, 2,800 m. We continue up, below some rocks at approx. 3,000 m, and right as far as the next rocks. Now we turn left into the pass, 3,100 m. We continue on our skis for part of this trail and then leave them. The last section leading to the summit cross is extremely steep (40°) and must be undertaken using crampons.
Descent via the same route.
