We go through the village heading straight for the Slingia alpine hut (Schliniger Alm) and from here as far as the cable car. A gentle uphill route takes us below the Schwarze Wand (Black Wall). Now we go up to the right and, once we are above the wall, we turn left – using poles and rope – then up less steep terrain, as far as the nearby Rifugio Sesvenna, 2,250 m, approx. two hours. From the Rifugio Sesvenna we go up the Slingia Pass, 2,309 m; on the right-hand side, after a little canyon we head towards the top, up a gradual incline from right to left, which takes us to the next hollow, 2,350 m. Again up a slight incline we go left up to 2,550 m, where we reach the upper edge of an impressive canyon. We continue in the same direction, going up slightly until we reach an altitude of 2,580 m, then up a further 40 m and we enter the valley diagonally to the right. Passing by a number of troughs we reach a ledge at 2,700 m. We go straight on and diagonally to the left as far as the ridge (2,800 m). From here we go left along the ridge until we reach the summit with the cross.
Descent via the same route.
Alternative steep route to the Hahnenkamm, 2,884 m: from the upper end of the impressive canyon, 2,550 m, we continue diagonally to the right as far as the summit. We go up higher to the left ridge and along this ridge on the right to reach the same peak.
