We follow the route with the no-through-road sign for about 1 km as far as the Prato Magno/Santo Spirito (Prastmann/Heilig Geist). After going past the bridge on the right-hand side, we enter the valley and go as far as the Labesau-Labesaualm. We go up to the first plateau along a small valley on the right, and after going past a small mound we reach the second plateau. We continue on the right-hand side as far as two rock formations above the gorge. We go below these rocks up a steep slope above the gorge to reach another plateau. This part can be tricky if the snow is hard and if there’s a risk of avalanches. We continue straight ahead and after a series of ups and downs and terraced terrain, we reach a plateau from where a narrow steep valley begins. We come up all the way and out onto a ridge on the left-hand side (altitude: 2,691 on the map). We continue along this ridge, then slide left until we reach the slope which will lead to the right shoulder of the summit, at 2,930 m. From here, depending on snow conditions, we go left with or without skis up to the summit.
Descent: via the same route.
A visit to the small church of Santo Spirito is an absolute must.
Difficulty for skiers: average; challenging near the summit
Difficulty for hikers: none
