Road cycling routes in Lagundo

To Lake Kaltern.An excursion from the lower Vinschgau Valley through the Merano Basin to Lake Kaltern with not too many metres in altitude. For South Tyrol, this is clearly a rather flat loop over a distance of more than 100 km. The maximum altitude is also kept within limits at around 500 m - good for a spring tour or training with low pulse values.

"Nice of the North".Its sheltered location in the basin below the mighty Texel Group, the Ifinger and the Vigiljoch have earned Merano the name "Nice of the North". On this ride in the Merano basin, you circle the city of palm trees on the Passer river. You can enjoy the view of the city from all sides, mostly from lofty heights, sometimes from the west side, high above Marling, or from the south side as you gondola along below the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle.

With views over the Merano valley floor.Perfect tour for apple blossom in spring or even late in autumn. This loop in the Merano valley basin with views over the valley floor and across to the east side with the striking red hump of the Knottenkino can still be ridden on nice dry days in November, as the maximum altitude in Tisens remains below the 700 m mark.

Vinschger DorfrundeFrom Tscherms, the great road bike tour leads through Meran, Algund, Naturns, Kastelbell, Latsch, past Schlanders, Laas, Prad to Glurns and back.

Through apple orchards. Wide figure-eight loop in the lower Vinschgau Valley with few metres of altitude and lots of apple orchards. Starting from Latsch, you explore the beginning of the upper Vinschgau Valley as far as Schlanders, then roll quickly in the direction of the flow of the Etsch River, always heading slightly downhill towards Merano.

Bis Terlan flach dann 18/20% Steigung bis auf die Hauptstraße, nachher 10/14% bis Mölten. Ab Vöran wirds gemütlicher. Licht nicht vergessen, Getränk von zuhause mitnehmen , nur bei Einkehrmöglichkeiten gibts Wasser.

Von Lana durch das Vinschgau und durch die Berge zurück.

Hitzewelle erreicht auch Südtirol!!! Heute war es sehr heiß. Im Schnitt 35°C. Auch in den Waldabschnitten merkte man deutlich die Hitze. Das hatte zur Folge: 3mal eine längere Trinkpause aufwärts und 2 mal abwärts. So konnte ich den Flüssigkeitsausgleich herstellen. Die Fahrt ist bekannt sehr schön, alles um die Etsch bis zu den kahlen Felsen alles schön grün. Da merkt man gar nichts dass in Friaul und Venetien Wasserknappheit herrscht. Alles wird bewässert wie bisher und die Staubecken entlang der Etsch sind auch gut gefüllt. Für die Hitze waren erstaunlich viele Leute auf dem Rad. Viele Familien waren unterwegs. Heute ein anstrengender aber sehr schöner Tag.
