Road cycling routes in Folgaria

Beautiful climb for those who are not afraid of dealing with a difference in altitude of more than 1400 meters along the road (SS350) that from Calliano (Val Lagarina) climbs up the Plateau of Folgaria, up to the 1618 meters of Coe Pass, already a mountain stage of Giro d’Italia.

From the City of Peace to the Cimbri highlands, through the woods of the Valle di Terragnolo.

A nice climb where it’s important to gage your strength. It’s the only way to take on the road that from Calliano in Valle dell’Adige leads to Passo Coe. Nearly 20 kilometres that from the very start test the legs with steep slopes.  In fact, here the difference in altitude exceeds 1400 metres - a measure that should lead you to wisely pace yourself as you climb up.

Der Transalp ist in 6 Etappen aufgeteilt, die einzelnen Etappenorte sind: Freilassing (Start) -> Schönau am Königssee -> Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße -> Sillian -> Falcade -> Borgo Valsugana -> Torbole (Ziel)

This is a particularly tough ascent, right from the very first stretch of hairpin bends which lead from Calliano, through numerous villages, up to the plateau. The state road no. 350 was built at the end of the XIX century to connect the Valle dell’Adige with Lavarone and the province of Vicenza. The going gets particularly tough on the last steep stretch up to the town of Folgaria.
