To the Alpe di Siusi.It is not always nice and good when gravel paths in the mountains are tarred. In this case, the asphalting machine used on the Alpe di Siusi has done some good, at least for racing cyclists. Instead of cycling up the road to the Alpe di Siusi and back down the same way as before, you can now do a real circuit of one of the most beautiful high alpine pastures in Europe.

With a view of the Sciliar.An excursion from the provincial capital of Bolzano northwards into the Valle Isarco - but in doing so you pretty soon leave the valley floor, which is packed with traffic from the Brenner motorway, the railway and the state road, and shimmy along the higher roads until just before Siusi.

Only for the fit.A varied, very crisp loop from Bolzano through the Val Gardena over into the Val di Fassa with lots of climbing. The more than 4,000 metres of ascent are rewarded with magnificent panoramic views of the most beautiful South Tyrolean and Trentino Dolomite classics.

Up to Bolzano's local mountain.High on the Ritten, you can enjoy views over the Eisack Valley and across to the Dolomites of the Egg Valley.

Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella.These pass names leave no racing cyclist cold. Either because he has already ridden them, or because they have been on the to-do list for a long time.
