More than 200 different types of minerals

The Monzoni Mineralogical Museum was established to showcase the findings collected by its owner, Tone Rizzi Poldin, and his passionate research on volcanic areas of the Dolomites. Located in San Giovanni di Fassa inside an age-old and entirely refurbished hayloft, the Museum houses more than 200 different varieties of minerals: from fassaites to spinels and olandites, in addition to several ferrostibiltes varieties with three-cornered, white, red and green analcites. Unique of its kind with its wide collection of minerals, the Monzoni Museum provides interested guests with a fascinating and complete overview of all the different mineral varieties featured by the Dolomites.
