The disaster in the Stava valley on July 19th 1985 was one of the most tragic of its kind in the world and it was one of the worst industrial and enviromental catastrophes in Italy. The Foundation Stava 1985 was created in order to make sure that 268 innocent people did not die in vain on 19th July 1985 in the Stava Valley. The Stava 1985 Foundation (charity) pursues the goal of “active memory” to disseminate knowledge on the origin, causes and responsibilities of the failure.

The public buses of "Trentino Trasporti" stop in the village of Tesero. From the main square, head towards Stava on foot.Getting there
From Cavalese and Predazzo go first to Tesero and then take the road towards Pampeago. Once in Stava, the Documentation Center is located after the 3 hotels, on the left.Parking
