In the evening hours and early morning, the turquoise green, crystal clear Lake Karer reflects the imposing peaks of the Latemar and the Catinaccio.
Lake Karer (also Lake Carezza) is a small mountain lake below the Latemar massif in the Eggen Valley. In early summer, the basin is fed by meltwater via underground tributaries. The deep blue-green color in which the ice-cold and clear water shimmers are particularly impressive, which is why the lake is also a popular photo motif.
