This is the first leg of the GR54 trail after the Eychauda pass, Pelvoux and is made up of a succession of traditional hamlets: Le Poët, Le Sarret, Le Fangeas, Saint Antoine, (administrative centre), Les Claux, not forgetting Chambran and Ailefroide.
Located at the heart of the Écrins National Park, the district is spread out over a large area that continues up to the summits of the Écrins.

Its history is closely linked to the history of mountaineering.

In winter, Pelvoux is also a dynamic, family ski resort, in a natural environment benefiting from excellent snow conditions and exceptional sunshine

By walking around Pelvoux, you will appreciate the preserved, enchanting and rich fauna and flora of the high mountain. You will also be able to observe the lovely arched houses and the small mountain chapels as well as the wooden water fountains in every hamlet that are evidence of bygone times.

In Le Poët, there is the Saint Pancrace chapel that dates back to the 17th century, in Le Sarret, the Saint Joseph chapel and in Le Fangeas the chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. The Saint Antoine church and its sundial dating from 1810, that was restored by the Tournesol workshop, can be found in the hamlet of Saint Antoine. One of the mottos is "Spero Lucem": "I hope for light" Finally, in Les Claux, the Saint Barbe chapel and its restored sundial that dates back to 1792 and motto "La dernière décidé de toutes" (the last decided of all).

The "Randoland" walking circuit helps families to discover the village through riddles that need to be solved.objetsTouristiques
