It is a small island that represents the oldest part of the town of Syracuse, which, according to the writings of Thucydides, was founded by the Corinthians in the year 733 B. C. Nowadays the island still holds ancient ruins of monuments and architectures, suggesting its rich pasts and silently wispering many tales and stories.
