In December 2017 the "Gütsch-Express" opened with a direct connection to Andermatt train station.

The 8-passenger gondola lift (single-rope orbital) Andermatt-Nätschen-Gütsch ("Gütsch-Express") runs from Andermatt train station across the new middle station at Nätschen to the Gütsch top station. The new lift has a transport capacity of 2'400 people per hour, the speed is 5 metres per second and the journey time is approximately 8 minutes.
