This small pilgrimage church is situated very near the village of Trafoi in the Ortler area, in magnificent surroundings: Heilige Drei Brunnen.

Beside the church are the remains of a wall from an ancient hermitage. Three statues of Jesus Christ, Maria and St John are nearby. From their chests fresh spring water pours into a basin. The Ortler and the three Madatsch peaks form the backdrop, in equal measure protecting and towering over the idyllic, wide valley head.
