In the characteristic little village of Gudon, a few minutes' drive from Chiusa, you can look over the shoulder of the artist Gerhard Ploner in his studio. As a master of woodcarving, he has been creating unique works of art from wood, stick, root and bark since 1995. Directly below his workshop is the Ploner wood art gallery, where you can admire the variety of his works.
The sculpture Ploner Gerhard is known mainly for its rural and oriental cribs, nativity scenes and nativity figures. Besides sacral elements, there are also profane and modern figures, which are refined with the latest techniques. In addition, there are Christmas decoration, handmade designer clocks, personalised wooden drawings and numerous other gift ideas for every occasion.
Gerhard Ploner lends the colours to the classical works with pleasure according to the most different techniques, which make every carving something special. Thus, the woodcarver's studio gathers unmistakable unique pieces, which are also made according to your individual wishes.
