Nature trails in Filisur

Die Albula- und Berninalinie der Rhätischen Bahn sind UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Der Bahnerlebnisweg von Preda nach Bergün führt seit einiger Zeit weiter bis nach Filisur.

In the 13th century, a wave of emigration took place in the Valais. The settlers settled in the highest alpine regions that had not been inhabited all year round. The sovereigns called them "Walsers" and granted them special freedoms: For example, they received the land they had cleared as a perpetual hereditary fief or the right to self-government and marriage. With these special rights, they were "free" and independent compared to other population groups.

Sections of the route between Preda, Bergün and Filisur are among the most spectacular anywhere in the world. On the new "Railway Adventure Trail Albula", which runs parallel to the railway line, you will experience, on your own two feet, the perfect interplay of landscape and technology. Panels along the three hiking stages between the Albula tunnel and the Landwasser Viaduct provide current and historical information that gives a fascinating and fresh insight into the world of the railway, its technology, cultural impact and everyday operations, as well as into the everyday life of the people living in the Albula Valley. The Railway Adventure Trail Albula is located in the largest nature park in Switzerland. The Parc Ela has a diverse countryside around the alpine passes of Albula, Julier an Septimer.

Entdecken Sie auf dem interaktiven Dorfrundgang "FiliTour" die Engadinerhäuser von Filisur.  Filisur im Parc Ela ist ein Engadiner Dorf mit einem Ortsbild von nationaler Bedeutung. Der historische Dorfkern besteht fast ausschliesslich aus Engadinerhäusern. Seit einem halben Jahrhundert haben fast alle ihre ursprüngliche Funktion als Bauernhaus verloren.
