The Saint-Romain-en-Gal archaeological site is one of the biggest in France devoted to Gallo-Roman civilisation. The museum is at the heart of a 7-hectare cultural park that has brought new life to this residential district in Vienne.

Created 30 years ago, the Railwayworker museum proposes to discover the past of Ambérieu en Bugey heritage.

Set in more than 5 acres, 5 typical Bresse buildings - 3 of which have been moved from their original location and rebuilt as they were before - make up an exhibition covering more than 2,000m² which takes you on a fantastic voyage through time.

Discover the different faces of Bugey and gain an insight into the drive and way of life of the locals, such as their handicrafts, agriculture and customs, the region’s most notable figures, its wildlife and landscapes, not forgetting their incredible collection of turned wood artwork.

The Bresse Museum and Domaine des Planons Farm is one of Ain’s major cultural attractions, located on the border of Beaujolais, a short drive from Lyon and Geneva, at the heart of Bresse. Spread across over 3,000 m2 of exhibition space, the museum and farm provide an insight into this gastronomic region, from the 15th century to today.

New and unusual, get on the little lavender train for a wonderful trip full of colours and scents! Witness the distillation of essential oil and discover the magical transformation of a flower through an artisanal distillation.

In this authentic Provençal farmhouse, the family home of Alphonse Daudet, visit the Ardèche of the 19th century, learn about silkworm farming, past and present, and get to know the author of ‘Mr. Seguin’s Goat’. Then prolong the experience at the park.
