The giant rock fortress of Ladinia. One of the best-known and popular peaks in the Dolomites

From San Lorenzo in the Val Pusteria along theVal Badia up to the village of Corvara (1,555 m). From the Crep de Mont cable car (2,152 m), we will take route 638 to the Rifugio Ütia Kostner (2,500 m). Route 672 takes us along the scree to the beginning of the «Lichtenfelser Weg» path. The long ascent on steep rocks facilitated by fixed ropes takes us to the Piz Lech Dlacé Peak (3,009 m). We go down the ridge (2,975 m) and up the Cresta Strenta (3,120 m). We will continue southwards (with fixed ropes) past the Forcela dai Ciamorces (3,110 m) and quickly reach the peak (3,152 m, Capanna Fassa; at least 2.5 hours from the cable car). The return via the same route is quicker. Alternative route back: descending to the col, we will turn left, and then right at the intersection (easier) or left (short via ferrata) to reach the Rifugio Boè (2,871 m). We will continue on route 647 passing the peaks of Antersas (2,907 m), or to the left side on its western side (a section along an exposed via ferrata), and then turn off to route 666 passing a ridge (2,970 m) and descending to a hollow valley (2,800 m) in the Val de Tita, and eventually reach the Rifugio Cavazza – Ütia dl Pisciadù, near a mountain lake (2,585 m; two hours from the peak). We will then follow route 676 initially on a steep slope then downhill partially equipped with fixed ropes towards the Val de Mezdì. Route 651 finally takes us down to reach Corvara (2 hours from the Rifugio Pisciadù).
