This long easy mountain hike takes you along the Seefeld lakes to the Seefeldalm alpine hut and up to the Campolago Peak.

Directions


This hike leading to the Campolago Peak starts at the cable car terminal at the top of the Gitschberg. We start off on route 21 across the so-called "Ochenboden" and past the Wiesenalm alpine hut. We continue on route 6 to the Seefeldalm alpine hut and uphill to the lakes and eventually to the Campolago Peak. Return to the Seefeldalm alpine hut is via the same route. From the hut take route 15, which takes you down to Lake Seefeldsee and continue to the Wieserhütte hut. Continuing on route 15 (round circuit), return to the large car park. Route 6 from Maranza 6A takes you back to the cable car terminal at the foot of the Gitschberg.

    Il tratto sul sentiero 21 non e' adatto ai non esperti. Si tratta di un sentiero molto esposto e stretto e per nulla adatto a chi soffre di vertigini. Un passo falso puo' essere fatale in quanto a sinistra il pendio ripidissimo fa un salto di almeno 200 metri. In diversi punti bisogna usare mani e piedi o tenersi su cavi di acciaio. Comunque una bellissima escursione!

    Der exponierte Schellenbergsteig (Nr. 21) quert sehr steile und von Felsrinnen durchzogene Gras- und Schrofenhänge. Für diesen doch relative langen Abschnitt der Rundwanderung zur Seefeldspitze muss man absolut trittsicher und schwindelfrei sein. Ein Fehltritt hätte fatale Folgen. Nichts für Kinder und Ungeübte! Die Wieserhütte (köstliche Brennessel-Pressknödel!) verleiht Fahrräder, mit welchen man die doch fast 20 km lange Rundtour auf sehr angenehme Weise beenden kann. Die Fahrt auf dem breiten Schotterweg durch das idyllische Altfasstal ist allemal ein Genuss :)
