Directions
Passing the village you start east-northeast until you reach the start of the road made of concrete and stones. Continuing north you will reach a junction where you turn right, passing a concrete path into the Val Vasotina. Following this path in serpentines through the valley you will reach another junction (indications 405a, 405b, 417) on 960 m. The path will now become steeper and passes a couple of steps. Grindingly you will reach a fountain at the start of the rocks (1,080 m). Continuing to the left you reach the wind gap Bochet di Concoli (1,207 m – junction: path n. 417 or 404 for Riva). Turning left again you continue on the Sentiero Rino Zanotti (indication 417) to the unique view-point (1,260 m) with a panorama over Riva, the valley Sacra and the Lake Garda. The path now follows the south-eastern crest of the Rocchetta, passing some rests of positions and reaches a second view-point (1,370 m) with a view over the Cima S.A.T. and the village Riva. You will reach another junction (1,440 m – indication 417a Cima S.A.T. – Cima Valdes; 417 Biacesa – Cima Giochello) and to the right you will pass a beech-forest until you reach a deep canyon. On its northern side you will then reach the grassy summit, called Cima Rocchetta (or Giochello – 1,519 m). The beautiful hill with a beautiful view over the Lake Garda, the Cima Capi, the Cima Rocca, the village Biacesa and the Cima Valdes, the Cima d’Oro, the Monte Carone, the Lake Tenno, the Monte Misone, the Lake Garda, the villages Riva and Arco, the Lake Cavedine, the Bondone-Stivo Mountains and the Monte Baldo. From the summit you continue west until you reach a saddle. Then you go around a rocky ridge via the northern side. Via a path (red dots) you will reach the beautiful and isolated summit on 1,540 m. After having reached path n. 413 you descend on it (steps and ropes). Continuing on the northern flank you will reach another saddle from where you can reach the summit Cima Valdes( 1,578 m). Over the grassy and steep slopes you descend to the north-west and reach an alpine hut and the wind gap Bocca Giumella (1,410 m) next to it. Now turn right (south) and descend into the blemished valley Val Giumella. The indication 451 is passed and via a unpleasant, cemented path you continue downwards until you reach a wayside shrine above Biacesa (beautiful panorama) and finally the starting point in the village.
