Si parte dal rif. Roccoli Lorla dove è presente un ampio parcheggio (a pagamento). La prima parte del percorso, fino a piazza d'Agrogno, sale tranquilla senza forti strappi. Poi il percorso si fa più ripido e arrivati a Porta dei merli si sale rapidamente e in alcuni punti il sentiero è esposto e non adatto a chi soffre di vertigini.
