Despite being surrounded by impressive peaks, this remains a pretty easy and well sign-posted cycling route, ideal for beginners and families, mainly running on a dirt track following the old Dobbiaco– cortina–calalzo narrow gauge rail track.

This old rail route built in WW1 was decommissioned in 1964. But the recreational value of this route was later reconsidered and subsequently extended to the region of Veneto. Lago di Dobbiaco, Val di Landro, Lago di Landro and the view over the north face of the tre cime (3 Peaks) a stunning bike route for landscape enthusiasts. For the very fit, this amazing route can be ridden both ways. For those who would rather ride it in one direction, there is a handy shuttle bus service in the summer months. this route includes a heavily trafficked section just before cortina, so please take extra care when riding!
