The starting point for the MTB tour is at the lower station of the St. Martin im Kofel cable car. Take the cycle path to Kastelbell. At Kastelbell, leave it and ride on the asphalt road to St. Martin im Kofel. This peaceful road snakes its way around the Sonnenberg at a pleasant gradient. The varied downhill trail starts just before you reach the cable car. Following the signs for the "Sonnenberg-Trail", ride downhill towards Latsch. There are some technically challenging passages at the start until you reach a forest path. Turn left here and follow the forest road briefly. Then turn off right again onto the trail through the forest. The descent flows quicker and quicker, the forest thins out and you can see Latsch and the Vinschgau valley. Next you join the hiking trail no.5 which runs to the Tisserbach stream (watch out for hikers, please be cautious and patient). After crossing the suspension bridge, branch off to the light and then take trail 3 down to Tiss and back to the starting point in Latsch.
Take the cable car to St. Martin im Kofel (you are allowed to take your bike on it once a day from 7-8:30 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. - between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., only bikes for official tours with tour guides can be transported)
The car park at the lower cable car station is right next to the approach road to Latsch.
Take the bus through the Vinschgau valley to the lower station of the St. Martin im Kofel cable car in Latsch.
If you are coming from Merano or Reschen, take the Vinschgauer Staatsstraße to the roundabout between Latsch and Kastelbell, where the turning to Latsch is signed.
