This medium grade tour should be planned as a whole day excursion. Two tough climbs make it rather challenging. The first one – right after the starting point – begins on the Traversata Carnica and finishes at the Albergo Waldruhe; the second one ends at the Rifugio Baranci and includes a number of hike-a-bike sections.

Directions

The Val di Sesto extends for 20 km and is a side valley of the Val Pusteria, stretching from San candido to Passo Monte croce comelico, partly entering the tre cime natural Park. these days the valley offers a multitude of great trails for mountain bikes. Plus, all of this is just in front of the worlds biggest natural sun dial, with a backdrop of five iconic Dolomites peaks: cima nove, cima Dieci, cima Undici, cima Dodici e cima Una.
