Into the Penaud Valley.The Niederjoch is an ingenious crossing embedded in nature that connects the Penaud Valley with the Vinschgau Valley. This tour is truly not easy. A very steep access road from Karthaus to the Penaudalm is the first, but not the only challenge.

Little knownThe crossing over the 3097 m high Bildstöckljoch lies somewhat remotely in the rearmost Matscher Tal valley and connects the Matschertal valley with the Schnalstal valley. Perhaps this is why this tour is still not very well known. Another reason could be that this high mountain tour is very difficult and is only recommended for sporty, ambitious high mountain bikers. Hardtails and carbon shoes are out of place here ...
