Since April 2009 Tibor Sztepanek has been chef de cuisine at the Waldhof. The born Hungarian has had a career which is everything but usual. After a brilliantly successful career as professional football player, Tibor discovered the passion of cooking. He took on an apprenticeship in the „Hotel Cristallo" in Italy. Thereafter he received a patisserie training from Robert Oppeneder in Munich. Following, he worked with the German top chef Christian Jürgens.

Numerous internships lead him from Germany with Dieter Müller – to Spain and onto Great Britain. After another station in the „Hotel La Perla" in Corvara he spent the past three years as chef de cuisine in the 2-star restaurant „Hubertus" in St. Kassian. Since April 2009 Tibor has been cooking in our kitchen and his interpretation of a cosmopolitan, modern cuisine has won over our guests!

Whether you choose delicious regional specialities or saltwater fish, everything is guaranteed to be fresh and prepared with care. We use only carefully chosen ingredients. We give preference to our first-class local products from the region. Additionally, we greatly value healthy and low-fat preparation of meals.
