Mountain huts in Vallemaggia

The Cristallina lodge belongs to the Swiss Alpine Club, Ticino section. A brand new construction situated near the Cristallina pass at a height of 2575m/sl which divides the 2 valleys, val Bedretto and valle Maggia known as val Bavona.From a panoramic terrace facing southwards you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the Basodino glacier and the surrounding moutain peaks.

This stone hut, which is located at 1,718 meters, is surrounded by a forest. Besides the Capanna Nimi, there are a few other huts on this Alp.

The Alpe Masnée Refuge is located at the end of the Valle del Salto at 2063 m asl. To reach the Alp from Maggia, the path starts at the top of the village of Maggia above the majestic waterfall of Salto, next to the magnificent vineyard of Salto.

The Capanna Tomeo is located in a landscape carved into the rock, near the lake of Tomeo of intense colors, at the foot of bold peaks and ridges and at the center of trails and passes that lead to the neighboring valleys.

The Alpe Fontana hut, in its simplicity and essentiality, makes up for the lack of the Soveltra hut and allows hikers in transit through our region to walk the original route of the Via Alta Vallemaggia. It is a simple, unguarded mountin hut. You can cook on the gas or on the fire. Bring your own sleeping bag.

Take the chair lift or on foot from Cardada.Restaurant seating 130 inside and the same again on the terrace; menu with typical regional specialities and choice of menu; interesting offers for banquets. Sleeping accommodation for 27 guests, ideal for groups and schools (booking required).

Two buildings at Alp da Canaa have been completely renovated and can now be used by visitors. The cabin has 20 beds (with down comforters), a bathroom with shower. It is guarded a few weeks a year and offers the opportunity to cook if not guarded (inquire). Drinks and basic food are available (pasta, rice, …). Animals not allowed. The cabin is generally open from mid-May to the end of October.
