Zapporthütte SAC

Traditional hut near the Zapport and Paradies gleschers, at the source of the Hinterrhein. The Zapporthütte, built in 1872 on the edge of the glacier, lies at 2,276 m above sea level. The Zappor hut has room for 20-24 beds in dormitories with duvets. The hut is open from the end of February until mid-May and from the end of June until mid-October. The rest of the time it is open (with cooking facilities). Please note that the trail from Hinterrhein to the hut is a very demanding mountain hike (duration approx. 3.5 hours).
