Capanna Gambarögn

The hut is located on the summit of Monte Gambarogno and can be reached on foot in just 45 minutes from Alpe di Neggia. The view over the lake and the Alps is unique and when the north wind is strong, the view extends to the Padana plain. The Capanna Gambarögn was built by the Swiss military in 1934. Today the Capanna is no longer usable, but its location and its many possibilities have led to the founding of the "Amis dala Capanna Gambarögn" association. The restoration of the Capanna is the main purpose of this association. After the restoration, the aim would be to keep the hut open all year round, offering additional accommodation and catering in the summer months.
