There are many hiking possibilities along the recommended trips that wind all the way up to the summit. The most notable summits are Picco Ivigna, the Punta Cervina and Monte Catino. The well-known E5 path goes from Obersdorf, passes the Meraner Hütte haven and ends up in Venice.
Whether from Falzeben, from the Passeier Valley or from the Sarntal Valley, the Meraner Hut is always a good choice. As a tour rest stop, as an overnight stay, as an excursion destination in the warm season or as a ski hut in winter for a cosy stop. In summer as well as in winter, the hut's view fascinates with a remarkable panorama of the Merano mountains.
Throughout the year, guests are spoilt with tasty South Tyrolean cuisine on the large sun terrace or in the inviting parlour. The specialities include homemade ravioli with seasonal filling as well as dumpling variations, typical meat dishes such as goat and sheep roast and, of course, homemade cakes, apple strudels and desserts.
