Hikes in Rorschach

If you want to experience Lake Constance from its most beautiful side, take a holiday in the picturesque harbour town of Rorschach. From there, there are not only many hiking trails to explore, but the town itself is also worth a visit. Because of the market rights it received in 947, Rorschach became one of the most important trading towns on Lake Constance as early as the Middle Ages. The resulting prosperity still characterises the townscape today with its lavish trading houses. The town's landmark, the Kornhaus, houses a museum that brings you closer to Rorschach's history.

But Rorschach is also ideal as a starting point for many activities. During the warmer months, several boats depart daily from the harbour to the island of Mainau or to Lindau. The two picturesque lakes are separated by almost 300 kilometres of hiking trails and about 12 stages through the Swiss Alps. Along the way, you will experience the ultimate mountain feeling on your hikes and get to know the Alps from a completely new perspective. Those who prefer to try their hand at crossing the Alps light can simply undertake as many daily stages as they like and then travel by train to their destination.
