Soon afterwards, make a right, and continue hiking, nearly flat, across the slopes to Steineralm alpine pastures, and then on to the Kaltbrunnalm alpine pastures, and finally to the Rifugio Prato Croce (Kreuzwiesenhütte) mountain hut (1,925 m; operating in summer), where the high-altitude hike ends; 2.5 hours from Roneralm. Descent: from Rifugio Prato Croce, go along the trail to Blitzbach Stream, across the Gampillwiesen meadows, and through a beautiful forest on Trail No. 2, down to the hamlet of Flitt (1,337 m; lodging), partly on the road, partly on a shortcut footpath, and back down to Luson; 1.5 hours from Rifugio Prato Croce.
