Three-alms-round hike

Numerous hiking trails invite you to exciting walking tours in the surrounding regions. Only a few kilometers away from Hafling is the village of Vöran, from where a beautiful footpath leads to the St. Anna Chapel. A very special nature experience is hiking to the Vöraner Alm or to the so-called "Knottnkino" by the artist Franz Messner. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view of the fascinating mountain world of the Dolomites all the way into the Etsch Valley.

In Halfing there are many hiking tours that are easily manageable for everyone. One of them is the circular hike on the Vöraner Joch, which leads to the three beautiful alpine pastures Leadner Alm, Wurzeralm and Vöraner Alm. The total distance is about 14 kilometers and starts south of Hafling. From here, an alpine path leads steeply up through the forest to the Wurzeralm, before well-signposted hiking trails show us the route to the cozy Vöraner Alm.

If your condition decreases during the hike, it is best to take a break in the beautiful, well-kept alpine hut. On the sun terrace, which is located at 1,875 meters above sea level, you can indulge yourself with culinary delights. On the trails no. 11 and 11A you then descend slightly to the Leadner Alm, then a forest path and a road lead back to the starting point in Hafling.

Hikes around Hafling

Hafling is the ideal starting point for hikes in the surrounding regions. The hiking trails to the Sulfner Weiher are mainly suitable for families with children. An easy hiking route leads from Hafling to the pond, which shows its most beautiful side especially on sunny days. Countless white water lilies cover the water, on the shores yellow marsh irises compete with magnificent alpine roses. Various animal species such as toads, dragonflies, fish and frogs cavort at the pond, which makes it particularly interesting for children. The way back leads past the Sulfner horse farm, which offers carriage rides, horseback rides and guided rounds with the horses. Afterwards you can hike to St. Kathrein and enjoy a magnificent view of the nearby city of Merano.
