To come to the starting point of this tour you have to come from Vierschach in the valley Pustertal (to the east of Innichen, 1100 m) via the road Jaufenstraße to the north and to the restaurant Kathi in the hamlet Jaufen (1443 m, parking lot). From here you continue by walking along the road until you reach the first curve to the left. Along the forest road you can now walk through the forest, entering the valley Silvestertal. At the junction you keep to the right until you reach a gorge in the vicinity of the farm Kantschiederhof where you will find a path through the forest and to the small farm Egarten Höfl (1670 m). Here you follow the signs through the forest and then you will continue to the west, following the almost flat forest road that brings you over the meadows. You will reach the construction that once formed the farm Blaslerhof and you walk past the now longer existent farms Wegerfeld and Strickhof until you reach the Naglhöfl (1720 m). The path through the forest is nicely marked and walking uphill you will eventually reach the saddle Silverstersatter and to the right you can walk uphill even further to reach the small chapel Silvesterkirchlein (1917 m; from Jaufen approx. 2h). To get back you can either follow the path you have just walked on or you can use the old military path that starts near the saddle Silverstersattel. It will take you through the shadowy forest and the comfortable, only slightly descending hike will bring you back to Jaufen in approx. 1.5h.
