Ascent: Start out from the north-eastern edge of Santa Cristina (St.Christina) in Val Gardena (Gröden), taking the Col Raiser cabin lift (valley station: 1,551 m) up to Col Raiser (2,107 m). From there, walk along a broad trail (signposted Panascharte, first marked Trail No. 1 then later on Trail No. 2) through meadows, with a moderate grade, up to the Troierhütte Tavern (2,271 metres); 45 minutes from Col Raiser. High Trail: from Troierhütte Tavern, head a few minutes further uphill to a crossroad with signs (approx. 2,350 metres). From here, our Trail No. 2b (not 2a or not anymore) goes east and crosses the beautiful grassy slopes of the Cislesalm alpine pastures, mostly flat, under the Odle (Geislerspitzen) Peaks. The trail passes nearby the Piera Longia rock formation and past the simple Piera Longia mountain hut (tavern; 2,297 m); then there are light ascents and descents, crossing the grassy slopes down to where Trail 2a merges with Trail 2/3 (approx. 2,180 m) From there, it’s a sharp right and steep climb up Trail No. 2/3 across the flat terrain of the upper part of Cislestal Valley, slightly descending, sometimes flat, out to the Rifugio Firenze (Regensburger Hütte) mountain hut (2,037 m; operating in summer); 2 hours from Troierhütte. Descent: from the Rifugio Firenze hut, on an uneven access road (signposted No. 1), there is a light grade down is through grasslands and Swiss pine forests, through the pretty Cislestal Valley along the stream for which it is named, out of the valley to a lovely pond (1,860 m). Continue following Trail No. 1 through the valley and down to the valley station of the Col Raiser cabin lift. Just under an hour from Regensburger Hütte mountain hut.
