Ascent: From Longiarù (Campill) in Val Badia (Gadertal) Valley at 1398 m; approach on road from San Martino in Badia (St. Martin in Thurn) and start out following signs for No. 5 along a street and access road, then turn right off the road, staying on Trail No. 5. First you go through woods and then across the open alpine pastureland slopes of Medalghes, mostly a moderately steep climb up to Furcia (Kreuzjoch) at 2,293 metres; 2.5 hours from Campill. High Trail: from Furcia, first take the high trail marked No. 3, lightly ascending and then descending gently over the Sobuc elevation (2,421 m) to Passo Pomo (Kreuzkofeljoch) Pass at 2,340 m. Turn west just below the Rifugio Genova (Franz Schlüter Hütte) mountain hut at 2,301 m (operating in summer) then onto the high trail, briefly northeast up to a fork, where you turn right. From there, it’s an easy descent on Trail No. 35 to alpine pasture huts and to another fork in the road (where you can opt to descend to Campill). Continue following Trail No. 35, mostly flat, past the Malga Vaciara (Vaciara Hütte) mountain hut, over flat alpine meadows to Giogo di Göma (Gömajoch) Pass at 2,111 m; 3 hours from Kreuzjoch. Descent: From Giogo di Göma, stay on Trail No. 9 (mostly an access road; the lower part is asphalt) across alpine pastureland slopes, then through forest and finally past farms down to Campill; a good 1.5 hours from Giogo di Göma.
On the train to San Lorenzo ( St. Lorenzen) and then on the bus to Campil (Campill)
Through the Val Pusteria (Pustertal) Valley to San Lorenzo (St. Lorenzen), Then turn into the Val Badia (Gadertal) Valley and through San Martino (St. Martin) to Campil.
