The Eisack Valley holiday region in South Tyrol, the "Valley of the Paths", extends south of the main Alpine ridge from the Brenner Pass on the Austrian border to Bozen. In the side valleys around Sterzing the high alpine mountains dominate, in the basin around the cities of Brixen and Klausen there are vineyards and apple orchards and the sunny low mountain range is lined with impressive chestnut groves. In the South Tyrolean Eisack Valley, a rich menu is served for those who are hungry for exercise, fresh air fanatics and connoisseurs: outdoor sports can be combined with culinary and cultural highlights here.
