The Casa al Torchio takes its name from an old grape press that is still in the restaurant today.
The Casa al Torchio restaurant is located in Via Museo in Bolzano, in the heart of the historic centre, and is proud of its long tradition as a restaurant, which dates back to the 19th century. Today the former "house with courtyard and tavern" offers tasty South Tyrolean cuisine and a rich selection of pizzas and specialities from different regions of Italy. Despite modern interpretations, there is a touch of tradition in every dish of the house. At lunch and dinner you will be served South Tyrolean classics such as macaroni alla pastora, spinach dumplings, polenta with gorgonzola and mushrooms or gourmet pizzas with seasonal ingredients. In addition to the tasty craftsbeers, the fabulous selection of wines from the Casa al Torchio, made up of excellent wines from the best regional and national wineries, deserves special mention. Spread over two floors, the historic restaurant building with its rustic rooms and historic frescoes invites you to relax. As guests of the Casa al Torchio you can enjoy the unique view of Bolzano's fruit market and the impressive architecture of the historic centre in an extremely cosy atmosphere. On hot days, some tables are also available in front of the inn. By the way, the Casa al Torchio is ideal for family celebrations, meetings with friends or company dinners. You can choose between menus for groups, specially prepared for special occasions, or you can create your own personalised menus. The absolute highlight is the tasting of local wines in the splendid historic wine cellar.
