The Mair family’s mountain hut boasts a 300 year-old history. The Pretzhof used to be called “Hohenhaus am Turlfer” and was first cited in a document that dates back to 1249. The name “Pretz” has unclear origins however. The Pretzhof as a restaurant has existed for 30 years. The change of seasons seems to be the real “chef” at Pretzhof. Simple, tasty and creative food make the hut’s dishes a combination of traditional and ancient Alto Adige delicacies and creative modern cuisine. Apart from the fresh culinary delicacies served inside a rustic traditional Alto Adige living room, there is a shop and wine-merchant near Pretzhof. Homemade and high quality products are sold here such as produce from nearby mountain huts and carefully selected European wines.
