Cross-country skiing at the foot of the Großglockner. Does that sound good? Then let's go to Kals. In the idyllic mountaineering village, there are around 30 km of cross-country trails that run through a dreamlike landscape. Cross-country skiing fans also get their money's worth in nearby Matrei. Whether around the Matreier Tauernhaus, or on the beginner-friendly village trail, everyone will find the right trail here.
And that's not all. Defereggental is another cross-country skiing valley in East Tyrol. The wonderfully unspoilt valley is very popular with all those who are looking for a gentle holiday.
